The judge, the circuit judge, the raging judge, the bond arms derringer and the smith and Wesson governor all fire 45 colt and 410 shells. As far as a 44 magnum there are no current production 44 mags that will fire 45 colt or 410 shells. A 44 magnum will fire 44 special as well,, but will NOT fire 410 or 45 colt. Definitely do not recommend this, so yes you are correct in stating that a 44 will not fire 45 or 410.
Chris did someone say they were shooting 44Mag from a 45LC/410 Judge? Are were they referring to the Taurus Raging Judge Magnum (chambered TO FIT a .454 Casull, .45LC and .410 2-3/4 and 3")? Just asking because trying this from a 44Mag - the differences that I can see: 44mag neck diameter = .457 , bullet diameter = .429 - 454 Casull neck diameter = .480 , bullet diameter = .452 would be a catastrophe waiting to happen.
