with the Beretta 92 22lr beretta says it has the same function, operation and takedown as the 9mm 92 so I would say maybe. I think Steve is referring to the Chiappa 22lr 92 replica which has a fixed barrel and just looks like a Beretta 92 I suggest contacting Beretta and asking Customer service: +1 800 237 3882
