These new ones with the flash hider are 1/2 x 28 pattern Mark.

It should be 1/2X28. that's the standard for the 15-22.

the thread pattern is 1/2 x28 I can highly recommend the S&W M&P 15-22 I have had mine 6 years and it has been flawless
