no it does not have the Hact trigger it has a adjustable single stage trigger its a current production rifle and yes it will take the ammo booster 10 rd mag convention kit

This rifle does not have the new "Howa Actuator Controlled Trigger". Legacy Sports do not specifically list the Howa 5 as being compatible the 10rd Kit. I believe it is but would have you verify with Legacy Sports TOLL FREE: 1-800-5-LEGACY (1-800-553-4229).
