Hi Charles , I actually use Buffalo Bore alot without issues. I love it but its just pricey. I've never had issues with over-pressurization

This particular load is not particularly "Hot" Charles. It's just that the Hard Cast Flat Nosed bullet is designed for penetration through thick muscle and bone. Muzzle Velocity: 1050 fps & Muzzle Energy: 306 ft/lbs.
it would depend on which Buffalo bore 38 special loads you are lookin at buds has 8 different loads in 38 S&W without knowing the load I cant tell you anything about it a lot of the Buffalo bore (while good ammo) is hype but some of it pushes the limits of safe loads in some guns
used the stuff in my Glock 10mm, S&W 357/38, and S&W 9mm with no issues. Good stuff!
