While it is possible its not practical you would have to change the barrel, multiple springs (recoil and main) Ejector extractor magazine and you may have to recut the feed ramp in the frame to get it to function reliability with the 45acp then It would most likely not work with the 9mm any more. it would be easier if this 1911 had fully ramped barrel but the use a feed ramp machined into the frame and that is where your biggest problem would be between 9mm and 45acp

You can Adrian but you will need a complete slide and different recoil spring. It would probably be easier to just go with the 45. There are conversion kits but if it puts you close to the cost of another gun, just get both.
