Purchased this gun and under accessories that fit it lists a 12ga 26" barrel w/ Rem choke.
What does this mean exactly? Never heard of switching barrels outside gauges. Thanks.

it seems like it's entirely possible as I've seen many combinations of barrel changes and I just researched and it says the 1100 series like you have can interchange barrels (including gauges but excluding the 1977 year model). Very, very nice shotgun!
