For reliability you really cannot beat the M-4 configuration with the M-4 feed ramps and a 1;8 or 1:7 twist. This is advertised as a "retro" rifle and is pretty heavy.
I agree with what Mark said about the M4 here are 2 reviews https://www.tactical-life.com/firearms/gun-review-stag-arms-excellence/ and (youtube) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llqb7yvqknI if you would like to select more than one best answer do the following "To select more than one answer you have to open the question in multiple windows before selecting a answer then select a different answer on each open window/tab"
I have owned this and a STAG 15L Tactical and I have not experienced any issues reliability wise. Of course I only use P-Mags, C-Products, Lancer and D&H Magazines. I'd put them up against anything available today. ***Note*** I am not a STAG spokesperson or sponsored by STAG in any way.

Stag makes some great rifles. I had them in the mix when researching an ar to buy in this price range. I wound up going with something else over just minor cosmetic things. Overall these are great rifles.
