I bought a S&W M&P15X 5.56 Quad Rail from Buds awhile ago. It shoots great however I'm looking for a mid range scope for this gun. I'll primarily shoot paper down her in Florida and occasionally try to get a coyote a few times a year. I'd prefer not to spend more than 250 $ on the optic. Thanks

James I would recommend the Nikon P308 Scope :  https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/26_99/products_id/712010655/NIK+4-12X40+P308+MATTE+BDC800  (The 308 and 5.56/223 actually have similar ballistics). I would also use a single piece mount for ultimate stability.
