Is the barrel inlet for this designed for a heavy bull barrel or one that's a standard sporting type? I surmise that's what the 'BB' stands for in the title but for $300+ I'd rather certain than to hope it's the correct configuration. Thanks!

it for the PSV096  RIGHT HAND SHORT ACTION R700 BDL (Varmint / Sendero barrels) the PSV079 is for the  - RIGHT HAND SHORT ACTION R700 BDL (1.250" Full Bull barrels)

You are correct James. The "Inlet" is for a "Varmint" or Heavy Bull Barrel which are one and the same. Fits: Remington 700 right hand short action BDL with varmint barrel contour.
