There are plenty of great choices. The CZ 2075 RAMI, CZ75 compact, H&K P2000, etc... Depends a lot on what you are comfortable with. Those are definitely good places to start.You might try to get down to the gun range/shop and get your hands-on a few to get a good feel for them. Hope you find what you're looking for!
