Hi Gordon, Once you break the firearm in with a few hundred rounds it should run like a charm.

I had a similar issue Gordon with "Target Ammunition'. Because of the short barrel, it has a really heavy spring. I had to use top end loads to run reliable.

The biggest problem you'll have is holding onto it. It is a handful with hot 10mm loadings but they work best. They had a problem with the slides cracking but that's been redesigned.
