I keep seeing in the suggestions for grips, holsters etc. below this gun "S&W N Frame". Is that what this revolver frame style is considered and will things like grips and holsters for S&W N Frame work for this?

Yes Jason,  the M44 which is a 'N' frame size Pistol so would use N-Frame accessories. You would also have to use "Square-Butt" N-Frame Grips as well.
