So I just put a handgun on layaway in a Maryland store on my HQL and I ordered one on the sight for my fiance the same way . My question is since I'm paying for both will I be able to recieve both and when you set up an account on buds is it specific to my HQL number or do you have to present your HQL when you recieve your handgun from your FFL dealer ?

The HQL will be presented to your ffl when you go to do the paperwork and  pick up the gun

Scott, the account you setup at Buds does not require your HQL. Your transferring local FFL will require this along with identification during your completion of Form 4473 and sub sequence pickup of your pistols from said FFL.
