The only difference is the colors. I own them both.

Oh Steve, Both of them shoot very accurate too. I kinda like my Extreme better though it's a beautiful firearm.

the color and the beavertail like you noted also if one is SA approved and one is not you may have things like the LCI (loaded chamber indicator ) and a Mag safety which are mandated by CA
