The Taurus website says this model # is 23 oz and has a 2.5" barrel, but Bud's website says this same model # is  27 oz and 2" barrel, which source is correct?

I think buds is right on the length if you look at the other 2 inch barrel Public defender its the same overall length wile the 2.5 in publics are a longer overall length that being said I suggest contacting Taurus to verify this Call Toll Free: (800) 327-3776

Hi David, the "Barrel length" is 2" and the weight is 27 oz's (Steel Cylinder). This model is discontinued by Taurus. There is a  "Titanium Cylinder" version which weighs slightly less. Taurus can clarify this at (800) 327-3776 Monday thru Friday* - 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (EST)
