Joshua, when you compare the Magpul furniture to the wood offered on these rifles, then YES it is worth it. According to several reviews on YouTube the wood is almost like balsa and does not hold up well. Plus, this allows you to fold the stock and adjust your "length of pull" as needed according to what you're wearing. Example, longer lop for summer, shorter lop for winter when wearing more clothing.

Its a matter of opinion and what you want to do with the gun I think its worth it look up and se what the magpul stock would cost by itself the compare the prices to adding it (magpul) later

The Magpul furniture will not change function, reliability or accuracy so this would be a personal call on your part. I personally like the aesthetics of the Magpul furniture better.
