Donald, the Taurus is probably a good pistol, but I would go with a Walther if I had to choose between the two. That's just my personal opinion given Walther's reputation. You could also go to YouTube and see how the two stack up in reviews.

Both are good pistols actually. I currently own 3 PT-111 G2's with one of which my wife carries. Since I'm the tester of the family, this pistol had to pass my very stringent test protocols before trusting my wife's life to it. After testing, I immediately bought 2 more, tested, cleaned and put them up for a rainy day. The Walther is a super fine pistol and I'm certain it will fulfill any tasks required of it. I would go to a local gun store to perhaps handle both just to see which would ultimately tickle your fancy. This is also my experience and opinion Donald.
