David, I currently have the Primary Arms 4-14X44mm Riflescope - ACSS HUD DMR .308/.223 Reticle on my Anderson Arms Hunter 308 rifle. It is clear, accurate and the reticle is custom calibrated for 308 cartridge ballistics. It only take a couple of hours to become accustomed to quickly reading the reticle configuration. You can look at the scope here (http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-4-14x44mm-riflescope-acss-hud-dmr-308-223-reticle-pa4-14xffp308) and the tutorials on you tube to help you decide.
Look at scopes that dominate 3-gun competition for the best. The Vortex Strike Eagle and the Burris FF Tac 30 come to mind.
