Hi Mark, Yes it can be used in any .45 acp firearm.
It will fire in 45 ACP chambers if the extractor holds it firmly enough but the rim is different and it may not work. It will fire in 45 acp revolvers with moon clips. With that said it's not recommended because it operates at approximately twice the pressure of standard 45 ACP load and being shorter it may not feed in semiautos.
