Brett you can mount a rail on the 500 for Red Dot, Scope or Laser mounting as no one currently make "Laser Grips" for the X-Frame sized 500. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rDvMS0lqMw

you would have to go with a Rail mounted red dot and add a rail to the S&W link to rail http://www.jackweigand.com/sswhpmnts.html

Hi Brett, Yes you can mount a rail on the 500 for Red Dot, Scope or Laser mounting. Noone makes Laser Grips for the X-Frame sized 500. youtube.com/watch?v=-rDvMS0lqMw
