The one you have pictured comes with a 5 Inch and 3 Inch Barrel and a extra mag for $189.00 the $164.00 does not come with the extra barrel or mag and yes they all use 22LR ammo

In a pinch yes but, lesser 22 ammunition will be less powerful and may not cycle the slide properly. You will also get excessive buildup in the throat area which will cause seating/extraction issues with 22lr in short order. For safety issues I would stick with what the pistol was built to shoot. The pistols are similar with minor design differences to accommodate barrel length's.
