The M444 Series is a heavier gun. It also has a front latch on the cylinder as well as a rear one. The cylinder it's self is a bit thicker in the webbing and the grip angle is slightly different as is the grip itself. Heavier barrel, ported, capable of handling heavier loads. All that adds up to a pistol that will dampen a whole lot of felt recoil and be a bit more pleasant to shoot with heavy loads. Stock level can also play a role in the price difference at Buds. Higher stock, lower price and vice versa.

As inventory numbers go down, prices go up and vice-versa. Usually when popular items get low in stock.
