The M44 Tracker is a much lighter built 5 shot revolver and the M444 is the heavier built much stronger Taurus Raging Bull. The M444 Series is a heavier gun. It also has a front latch on the cylinder as well as a rear one. The cylinder it's self is a bit thicker in the webbing and the grip angle is slightly different as is the grip itself. Heavier barrel, ported, capable of handling heavier loads. All that adds up to a pistol that will dampen a whole lot of felt recoil and be a bit more pleasant to shoot with heavy loads. Stock level can also play a role in the price difference at Buds. Higher stock, lower price and vice versa.

Buds uses an automatic inventory price update engine that runs every 20mins. Prices are tied directly to stock levels and will change as stock numbers change. As inventory numbers go down, prices go up and vice-versa. Usually when popular items get low in stock.
