CR2032 Lithium is what product spec says. Not sure if it uses 1 or 2. I would guess that it uses 1. Most times I have seen multiple batteries is when the device uses 2016 batteries (half thickness). Shouldn't be a huge deal either way.... batteries can be found cheaply online.

Mark, this sight uses a "Single" CR2032 Battery for operation.
