Hi Tyrel, The ATI GI is a 4.25 inch barrel on a full size or what we call a commander size gun the ATI military is a full size 1911 5 inch barrel on a full size frame

ATI GI has a 4.25 inch barrel w/ full size frame. The military is a full size 5 inch barrel on a full size frame. The military model will therefore have a longer sight radius which could help you shoot more accurately and a bit more heft meaning it may have a little less felt recoil. Gi/commander model would be a little easier to conceal (smaller length and less weight) and sloghtly easier to find an extended threaded barrel for. It has plenty of accuracy potential too.
