Talbert the Mossberg Patriot is a solid, very good accuracy economical rifle. Recoil is fairly stout but a good recoil decelerator slip on recoil pad will work wonders.

I have heard good things about the patriots thus far. The recoil will likely be pretty sharp given its a 375 in a 7lb rifle. Of course adding weight of scope and rings and an upgraded or slip on recoil pad can certainly help it out a bit . A shooting jacket or shoulder pad does wonders too. Good luck!
