The main difference is they submitted it to and paid the state of CA to certify it for sale in CA it will also have a LCI (loaded chamber indicator) added if the gun does not come standard with one

Mike the CA models normally must include either a LCI (Loaded Chamber Indicator) and/or a magazine disconnect.
