Hey there Eldrige. Well to be completely honest the Kahr brand has a "Love" "Hate" relationship. I find them to be a fine firearm and they are also the parent company of Magnum Research which I am a big fan of. It seems as some people get a great one and they love it for all purposes. Then I read of others in which they have had extensive issues. Like anything in the world there will be "duds" or "lemons" if and so be patient with the warranty process and get fixed. Can also buy the extra Buds insurance in which you can deal directly with Buds on warranty and repairs. Hope this helped best of luck
