Why am I spending more than a hundred dollars more for a Taylor's 1886 than a Chiappa 1886 when it arrives in a Chiappa box from Chiappa and no reference to Taylor's other than a sticker on the box..I assumed a Taylor,s would be a little nicer but this is pretty plain Jane. Is there any difference or am I paying more for nothing....

I almost did the same thing...From what I've read, the biggest difference is fit and finish. The Taylor models have more attention to detail inside and out but are made in the same place. Just like PIetta and Traditions.  Still great guns!!
