Hi Talbert, The recoil is going to be pretty close. The .338 might even have a little less in my opinion.

Talbert, thing about the 338 over the 375 is u can shoot 160 grain up to 300 grain out of the 338. You could take deer, up to grizzly, recoil is a bit more with the 375. If it was me the 338 would be my pick for the range in bullet weight and overall shootability, good luck.
