Hi Talbert, The recoil is going to be pretty close. The .338 might even have a little less in my opinion.

Talbert, thing about the 338 over the 375 is u can shoot 160 grain up to 300 grain out of the 338. You could take deer, up to grizzly, recoil is a bit more with the 375. If it was me the 338 would be my pick for the range in bullet weight and overall shootability, good luck.

The difference in recoil is going to come down to the weight of the rifles A lighter weight .338 will have more recoil a heaver gun will have less
