I am looking at buying a Howa 6.5 Creedmoor.  Can anyone recommend a good scope for this to do some long range (1000 yards max) shooting, in the 500 or so price range?

My friends shoot regularly to 600 yards and irregularly to 1760 yards with this scope with some success. Two have Ruger Precision Rifles and the guy who shoots out to a mile a Savage with a custom barrel all in 6.5 Creedmore.

Model 25132 sightron III but its a budget buster. Staying under $500 is tough when asking a scope to reach out so far. Its possible with a lot of searching. I'd keep my eyes open for a deal on a used LR scope.
