Understood James. There are firearms that use traditional rimmed cartridges (Such as 357/38) that can also have cylinders cut for moon clips as well. They can be loaded with or without the moon clip. The moon clips can be used as a "poor mans" speed loader. You would need a custom cut or 9mm specific moon clip to fire the rimless 9mm.
