This will be subjective Zed. If it meets your requirements, then it is worth it in my opinion. Sure there are less expensive options but the end result and satisfaction with overall ergonomics, plinking costs and upgrade-ability ultimately make the cost worth it or not.
If its want you want and it makes you smile when you shoot it then yes it is wort the money lets face it if you use it a lot the ammo cost (over a lifetime) will be more then the gun
I shoot competitively and the hottest thing going right now is the Ruger PC Carbine. They work very well for the price and there are more and more parts to trick them out every day.
