Hi Terence, Yes, this will accept an 1 1/4 sling.
Check out the limbsaver sling! https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/713077696 (representation only it comes in black). I have changed to this sling on everything I own. The gun stays put on your shoulder due to the rubber padding and does not slide all over your shoulder. After walking for hours on an analope hunt out west I was SOLD on this design!
