Hi Graham, There was probably more in stock when you put on layaway so you got a good deal. Buds uses an automatic inventory price update engine that runs every 20mins. Prices are tied directly to stock levels and will change as stock numbers change. As inventory numbers go down, prices go up and vice-versa. Usually when popular items get low in stock.

I don't know what models you are talking about as you did not give model numbers or UPC please repost with the exact models and we may be able to help
Simple, Inventory level Graham. Always try to buy at highest stock levels to get the best price. You can save hundreds on firearms. I've seen 300 of a firearm in stock and weeks later only 6 and my mouth dropped at the $ difference.
