The pistols are exactly the same Loual and will take either 10rd or 17rd. The 10rd mag package is so this pistol can be sold to folks in states that have capacity restrictions.

it has a 10 round magazine to make it Legal for sale in states that restrict pistols to 10 rounds the standard magazines are modified to only hold 10 rounds for sale in those states

Hi Loual, This will take higher cap magazines. Its just that some states are limited to 10 round max to be state compliant.
