Absolutely yes Jim. My 12 year old grandson uses a Crosman version and he loves it. Similar size and velocity and you get 30 full power shots then it quickly goes down hill. Fast firing chills the CO2 quicker which retards power also so keep a steady pace.

Hey Jim, depends on what kind of supervision you're providing. Encouraging safe firearms handling, yes, this is a good start. Nice little air gun. Usually around 40 shots or so. Hope that helps and the kids have fun!
