With out the firearm and barrel it's difficult to say for sure. Based on the information readily available it's my opinion the barrel will not fit. The Rock island has a 3.6 inch barrel and the Match grade barrel is 3.5 inches long. The Rock Island slide is cut for a reverse plug. Revers plug slides usually require a cone or bull barrel. The replacement barrel is designed for a barrel busing. The slide would not not be cut to use a barrel busing due to the use of a cone or bull barrel design.

It will probably not fit. The 3 inch Officers models usually do not function well with a bushing barrel and is why they are usually offered with the bull barrel like the 51429. Stick with the bull barrel.

It would not be a drop in it would require the services of a very good gunsmith and would also void your RIA warranty. In my opinion to do this the easiest most cost effective way would require a new (bushing) type slide (and all other bushing parts) fitted to the RIA frame
