Hi John, most lasers will have a "Continuous Use" rating for the battery. The green lasers will have approximately half to a little less that the comparable Red Laser. Viridian Green is stated to be around 1.5 to 2 hrs so the Red should be around 4hrs. It is the on/of and pulse that makes the batteries seem to last longer.
