As originally manufactured this revolver is not cut for moon clips. The only way it would be is if the owner had it done by a gunsmith after it was purchased. This would be a selling point and is not specified so it probably is not cut for moon clips. The warranty should be good and yes, being an "N" frame gun, it will handle any 357 magnum load on the planet.
