The 44 Mag case is 1.280" while the 44 Special is 1.152". Bullet diameter is the same. You can shoot 44 specials in a 44 mag but not visa-versa.

Yes, you can shoot 44spl birdshot in a 44mag. But you cannot shoot 44mag in a 44spl

You can absolutely shoot 44 Special in a 44 Magnum (just do not shoot a 44 Magnum in a 44 Special).

Once again ....Specials in Magnums = OK ....Magnums in Specials = NO WAY ...works for 38/357, .41 and .44.

Just like shooting .38 in a .357. Works perfect
