Hi Doug, No just make your purchase. You will choose a FFL dealer for the firearm to be shipped to. You show your FOID card to FFL when you do the transfer. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/howtobuy.php
Doug, you just add the CA compliant Sport to you cart, select your local FFL and checkout. All paperwork will be done at your local FFL once your rifle arrives and you pay their transfer fee. Your FFL will conduct all required paperwork for you. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/2084_1153_1797/products_id/35753/Smith+%26+Wesson+12001+M%26P+15+Sport+II+%2ACA+Compliant%2A+Semi-Automatic+223+Remingto

Hey Doug, hope you got it all figured out. But, you would purchase the CA compliant model from Buds and them select an FFL, they will ship it to the FFL and at the FFL will perform the necessary background check.
