it can use the 17 round mags just fine. they modify the 17 round mags for use in states with magazine restrictions. physically the mags are the same and both mags (17 and 10) will work in the same gun

It can use the 17rd Magazines Ousmane since they are physically the same size. The 10rd mags just has a plastic internal blocker to limit capacity to only 10rds.
