Hi Norman, Yes there is. It needs to take place at your local FFL.

No Norman. I always get a copy/picture of their drivers license front/rear and have them sign a hand written or typed buyers statement.

no there are no paperwork requirements and you do not need a FFL (steve p is in CA) here is what the law says " Ky. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 237.070: May not knowingly transfer firearms to anyone who has committed certain felonies." https://consumer.findlaw.com/consumer-transactions/private-gun-sale-laws-by-state.html
