I was wondering if I buy the ca-compliant version would I be able to replace the slide without the LCI? I dont mind the mag disconnect but the LCI is very offputting

Hello Steven, mechanically and functionally it would work but you might check local and state compliance just to make sure you wouldn't get in any trouble, being in Cali. hope that helps!

The only rule is that when you buy the gun It must follow California regulations. The only things you can't mess with is the magazine detachment mechanism. Changing out the slide is perfectly legal ie caliber conversion kit. The only thing is that MK25 slides are hard to find, so good luck finding a no California slide
