they are both finishes I would say the marine coat will hold up a little better in harsh usage

The Marinecoat is a finish that binds better with the "Aluminum Receiver" and internal parts for better saltwater protection. Cerakate is good but not quite as effective on the Aluminum Receiver for saltwater environments.
