Yes it can Kathy. It has an "Ambidextrous Manual Safety" controls.

Kathy, Yes this firearm has "ambidextrous features" Manual safety on both sides, ambi slide lock/release, and mag release can be reversed to left or right side. Possible lefty issue is spent casings will always eject out right side towards leftys
