Generally speaking yes M1911 parts work in other M1911 pistols. However, there are many exceptions depending on the make, model and design. Bottom line is you need to be much more specific in what you means by "custom parts."

If it's made to standard M1911A1 specs, anything from wilson combat will fit just fine.

Many replacement parts for 1911s, regardless of brand, may require fitting. Even applies to many parts that are considered drop-in parts.
