looking at this pistol, the rail seems very short, probably even too short for most compact lights on the market. Does anyone know the rail length on this model, or would I be better off waiting for the full size to come back in stock if I want to mount a light for home defense. just thought it would be nice to get the compact for occasional carry.

I would recommend waiting for the "Full Size" Model just for the versatility of the longer rail Adam.
