No David. The supplied screw in "Turkey" Choke is Full or Xtra Full. Any Full Choke is not recommended for slugs. Only Modified Chokes on down are recommended. You could just unscrew it to use slugs though.
DO NOT just unscrew/remove it for use with slugs you will have major problems with lead getting into the threads for the chokes and the slug will not be accurate due to the threads damaging the slug get a mod or more open choke
the H&R uses Mossberg Accu chokes here is the mod choke that will be fine with slugs again don't shoot it without a choke installed https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/46301/Mossberg+Modified+12+Gauge+Accu-Choke+Tube another issues with using the gun without a choke installed is the barrel without the choke is very thin and easily damaged. if you hit something with the end of the barrel, (with no choke installed) it will bend and be out of round and not allow a choke to be reinstalled
